Most people think getting a pool installed is as simple as picking a spot and dropping it in. It's not. The groundwork underneath is what determines whether that pool sits level, drains properly, and holds up season after season. Get it wrong, and you're dealing with shifting, settling, and headaches that show up right when you least want them.
For the Allison's, we came in and handled the full site prep - stripping the existing grass, excavating to the right depth, and grading everything out to a solid, level base. No shortcuts. The ground has to be right before anything else goes on top of it. That's just how it works.
This is the part of the job that stays hidden once the pool goes in. Nobody sees the base. But it's doing all the work. Proper grade keeps water from pooling under the liner. A solid, compacted base prevents soft spots and movement over time. We treat it like the foundation it actually is.
We do this kind of work all across Southern Illinois - excavation, grading, site preparation. Whether it's a pool pad, a driveway, or a full property prep, the approach is the same. Do it right the first time so you don't have to go back and fix it later. That standard doesn't change regardless of the job size.
The Allison's have got a clean, properly graded pad ready to go. Come summertime, that prep work pays off every single day.
