This one had two separate jobs going on at the same property - a gravel driveway that needed to be power raked and refinished, plus a pool pad that needed to be excavated and graded from scratch. Bundling both into a single visit just makes sense. Less scheduling hassle, less disruption for the homeowner, and everything gets done right the first time.

The driveway situation is pretty common out here in Southern Illinois. Over time, gravel spreads, thins out, and loses its shape. Low spots form. Water pools in the wrong places. Power raking pulls the existing gravel back up and redistributes it, then we grade and refinish so you end up with a solid, even surface again. The long gravel drive running out toward the road got the full treatment - regraded and resurfaced all the way back to the detached garage area.

The pool pad is a different kind of work. Getting the ground properly excavated and leveled before a pool goes in isn't something you want to skip. An uneven base causes real problems down the road - structural stress, liner wear, drainage issues. We cleared and graded that area down clean and flat so the Endsleys have a solid foundation to build on.

Timing matters on jobs like this. Rain was in the forecast, and wet gravel work is a mess. We got in, handled both scopes, and wrapped up ahead of the weather. That's just how we operate - we plan around conditions so the finished product holds up the way it should.
